The Learning Laboratory is a tax-exempt 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization committed to offering high-quality nontraditional programs for K-12 students at a reasonable cost for parents. The Learning Lab seeks to inspire and excite students in ways that they may never experience in a traditional school environment with hands-on activities, projects, technology explorations, field trips and travel. The Learning Lab also empowers passionate educators who want to improve their practice and stay abreast of the latest trends in education by offering free professional development for K-12 teachers.

Goals:

  • To offer high-quality, low-cost extracurricular programs for students utilizing the latest tech tools and non-traditional teaching practices throughout the school year, culminating in a full-day summer camp
  • To engage students and teachers in an ongoing series of unique, authentic off-site learning experiences including local field trips and regional, national and international travel
  • To offer a full calendar of “a la carte” professional development for teachers addressing a variety of “hot topics”
  • To create a hub for forward-thinking educators to convene and share ideas/ best practices
