Tinashe, founder and lead learner of the Learning Laboratory, is a former math teacher with over 10 years of experience in the Greater New Orleans area. She is a Google Certified Teacher (GCT) and a national presenter for the Bureau of Education and Research who travels around the United States to train teachers on using technology to enhance their instruction. Tinashe has built a strong reputation as a skilled communicator and tech-savvy educator and has presented at local, state, national, and international educational conferences. Shelia is a Louisiana Department of Education Teacher Leader Advisor who also blogs for The Teaching Channel and has been featured in several videos on their website. As a former science teacher, she specializes in supporting schools and teachers with training and implementation of The Literacy Design Collaborative (LDC) and assisting science, English/language arts, and math teachers with curriculum, instruction, and assessments. Shelia has presented LDC sessions at the Southern Regional Education Board conferences and has served as a panelist and speaker for conferences hosted by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

After obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from Southeastern Louisiana University, Kori has worked diligently within the community to mold and develop fellow first generation college students to thrive within STEM fields. Kori has experience working as an Upward Bound Algebra II Instructor, High School Dorm Manager, and a Student Support Services Collegiate Tutor.

As a recent graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences, J’nai is not only the force behind the Lab’s social media presence, but she is also gearing up to go to dental school. As a natural hair blogger, J’nai is very passionate about communicating online and sharing valuable and informative content with her followers.

With over 20 years of philanthropic, legal and operational experience, Tara Allegra Adams has committed much of her impressive career to the pursuit of social justice and equity. Over the past 10 years, Ms. Adams has served as an official and unofficial advisor in varying capacities including non-profit outreach, city government, K-16 education, entrepreneurship and digital literacy.
